Jesus + Abilities = Bible Camp 2023

Our 2023 Bible Camp experience took us through the "twists and turns" of how much Jesus love us, giving us fun and fellowship all week!

Our BIGGEST year brought our BIGGEST Bible Camp with over 76 people from our Able to Serve family attending each day.  Our theme “Twists and Turns” taught us how Jesus is holy, trustworthy and loving through the life of Peter.  We enjoyed our ATS Bible Camp experience for the first time with our Garner neighbors at Aversboro Road Baptist Church, who shared their campus decorated with the same theme.  Their hospitality set the stage for an incredible week as our staff, volunteers and participants shared and discovered how the Bible truths we read each day applied to our lives beyond Camp.

Our missions focus included hands-on service for neighboring non profit Clayton Area Ministries and state/national ministry Baptists on Mission.  We put our hands to work on group projects  – ranging from bird house construction and laundry bag stenciling that serves our state’s disaster relief victims to food collection that serves our local hungry neighbors.  Our volunteers and participants handled each item with diligent care – the Able to Serve way.

Our week could not have been so much fun without our outstanding Camp volunteers plus the lunches that “fueled” us each day.  Local church partners from Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church Garner and Aversboro Road Baptist Church each served us delicious lunch meals all week.  We thank all of these wonderful people and groups for making our 2023 Bible Camp the best!
