Because of You — We are Blessed!
On September 19th, it was a blessing to see our community of supporters come together at our Annual Benefit at Garner United Methodist Church! We are grateful for the 400+ individuals who shared a meal and joined together to celebrate “giving abilities a chance.”
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal by 104%! In our Silent Auction, we had 228 items available, with 180 bidders participating. We celebrate & thank you for helping us reach our goal!
We loved getting the opportunity to see old friends & meet many new ones!
Our Benefit began with catching up with members of our community and a delicious catered dinner by Angie’s Restaurant. Guests bid on our the, event exclusive, dessert auction, and made their mark on the evening by stopping by our photo booth and signing our signature panels that we proudly display in our building throughout the year.
Our participants showed the personal impact of this ministry, but they didn’t stop there. Our theme this year was centered on how your support, is a blessing on each participant in our program. You are helping to give adults with disabilities belonging, purpose, community, opportunities, confidence, growth, discipleship, and much more.
Abianne, a participant, shared how ATS provides her, “a place to call my own and where I know I am welcome and accepted. Not only are others able to help me, but I also have a part in helping others too.”
Our guest speakers, Mayor Pro Tem Elmo Vance from the Town of Garner, John Hodges from Garner MidDay Rotary, and Beth Porter from the Poole Family YMCA shared how your support of Able to Serve is impacting the broader Garner community. Because of your support, our participants are involved in other community organizations and serve alongside them in impacting food insecurity among children and programs for disability inclusion through the YMCA. All working together to make our community a better place for all.
We are truly grateful to be members of a loving, passionate, and service-oriented town – all working together to make our community a better place for people of all abilities.
Because of you — and the generosity of so many who supported the Annual Benefit & Silent Auction, we can provide our day program at an affordable cost to families in our community!
Families only pay 40% of the total cost, and the other 60% is generously given by donors like you!
We are incredibly thankful for the impact this night has had and for the support of our whole community!
Thank you for joining us as we give abilities a chance!
Our Benefit was blessed with support from a dedicated community of people, organizations and businesses. Their financial investment into our event offset our costs, keeping our costs affordable for participants and their families. We are sincerely grateful to our hosts Garner United Methodist Church and Angie’s Restaurant as well as event sponsors Capital Production Group for helping us give this amazing night to our ATS community!
