Able to Serve hosted its annual Christmas celebration, filling the beautiful Pavilion at Carriage Farm with an inviting glow of warmth, community, and shared joy. The event brought together families, participants, volunteers, staff, board members and friends, creating an opportunity for connection that embodied Able to Serve’s spirit of service and inclusivity.
The night was made extra special by the generosity of Marti Leone (Pavilion at Carriage Farm) and the WINGS group from Holland’s Church, who provided, prepared and served a delicious dinner that filled not just stomachs, but hearts as well.
The pavilion buzzed with excitement as everyone gathered, the air filled with the sounds of laughter, Christmas carols, and the joyful chatter of friends reuniting.
Games brought smiles and friendly competition creating moments of pure happiness. The highlight for many was the much-anticipated visit from Santa, whose presence brought childlike wonder and excitement to everyone in attendance.
Carlton McDaniel, the Founder and Executive Director of Able to Serve, took a moment to share a heartfelt message that captured the essence of the evening. He reminded everyone of the organization’s deeper purpose, speaking eloquently about the continuous presence of hope – emphasizing that Jesus has been part of our past, remains central in our present, and will guide us into the future.
The night was more than just a Christmas party; it was a celebration of the remarkable accomplishments of 2024. Participants and staff alike looked forward with excitement, embracing the promise of continued learning, growth, leadership, and service.
The Able to Serve Christmas party was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, the importance of connection, and the joy that comes from serving others. It was a night that will be remembered not just for its festive atmosphere, but for the hope and unity it represented.
