Angie’s BBQ Chicken and Community Spirit!

This past Sunday, March 30th, the aroma of smoky BBQ chicken filled the air in Garner and it wasn’t just your average Sunday lunch. Angie’s Restaurant hosted to Able to Serve’s 3rd annual BBQ Chicken fundraiser, and the community showed up in droves!

Imagine this: over 70 volunteers, buzzing with energy, transforming Angie’s into a powerhouse of plate-packing and community connection. The mission? To deliver over 1600 plates of delicious BBQ chicken to our wonderful community, dedicated church partners, and generous sponsors. And that’s exactly what we did!

The atmosphere was full of cheerful energy, hard work and heartfelt joy. But more than anything, the day was filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the incredible outpouring of support for a cause that touches so many lives. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together.

A massive thank you to every single person who rolled up their sleeves and contributed to the overall success of the event. From supporters selling tickets to the volunteers packing plates to the sponsors who made it all possible, your efforts made a real difference.

And a special shoutout to Angie Mikus, her amazing team, and Angie’s Restaurant. Your continued partnership is invaluable, and we look forward to many more successful collaborations in the future!
